How To Troubleshoot The Acer Aspire Notebook?

Steps to fix your Acer Aspire notebook:


If your hard disk gets failed

  • If you get a message indicating that no fixed disk is present that can be caused by a number of things, so it is often an indication of disk failure. To verify the status of your hard drive, you have to restart the system and press F2 key during startup.

  • Once the setup utility screen appears on the display, then go to the diagnostic menu and launch a test on the drive. If it shows any physical errors then you have to replace it immediately.

  • Give try to boot it again and if you able to log in to your system then create a backup of your important data instantly.

If showing date and time error

  • If your system is showing date and time error then press F2 key to enter into the setup utility and set the time and date on your system.

  • Always check the date and time located on the lower right-hand side of the system tray every time you log in.

  • If the error reoccurs, then the internal CMOS battery may be failing. You have to replace it than to prevent this error.

If having a display issue


  • If the display of your system gets blank then press an F5 function key to toggle the display back to the laptop display and if the display still doesn’t come on then press F6 and F7 keys to adjust the brightness levels.

  • If the brightness level also not working then check the power indicator on the front of the unit and ensure that they are lit.

  • If the power indicator is not lit then check the status of the AC power of your laptop. If the power is low then charge your laptop.
